Membership Eligibility

You're eligible to join School Employees Credit Union of Washington if you're employed (full or part-time) by the following organizations in Washington state:

• Public and private elementary, secondary, vocational-technical, and postsecondary schools
• Private and public universities (licensed by the Commission on Colleges of the Northwest Association)
• University of Washington Medical Center (residents and employees paid directly through the University)
• Board of Education
• Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction
• Board of Community College Education
• State-approved agencies for veterans' educational benefits
• Libraries and museums.

You're also eligible if you live in Washington state and you're:

• Students enrolled in a program to earn a teaching certificate at a college or university in Washington, approved by the Washington State Board of Education for the award of a teaching certificate, who have completed three academic years of college credit, and who have been enrolled by the college or university in a teacher-internship program are eligible for membership.
• Receiving retirement income from any school employment-retirement program
• Related to a member of School Employees Credit Union of Washington
• A board member of any educational institution whose employees are eligible for membership with School Employees Credit Union of Washington.
