Wire Transfers
We can receive and send money by wire on your behalf. There's no fee to receive a wire transfer. For a domestic outgoing wire transfer, the fee is $10. Outgoing international wire transfers range up to $35.

Please follow these instructions for out going wires:
Please contact the recipient or recipient bank to get the wiring instructions (this can differ from the account information on the bottom of a check). We also will need the addresses for all parties involved. Missing or incorrect information can delay the processing of the wire and can even result in the wire being returned or applied to the wrong account. We are unable to guarantee when the recipient will receive the funds. Please print and complete the Outgoing Wire Request form, then fax it to 206-676-3631. If you're named on an account to which you're wiring funds, you also have the option of wiring by phone, 1-888-628-4010, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays. Wire requests must be submitted and verified by 12:00 p.m. Pacific time for same-day processing.
Direct Deposit
Most school districts, government agencies, major employers, and pension funds will gladly deposit your entire paycheck directly into your credit union account. Direct deposit is the cornerstone of our ADDvantage checking package and qualifies you for a one-half percent discount off most installment loan rates.
Contact your payroll office to sign up for direct deposit.
Payroll Deduction
If you want only part of your paycheck deposited to your credit union account or loan, choose payroll deduction. It qualifies you for the same benefits as direct deposit, and payroll deduction makes a great saving tool. Use it to "pay yourself first" with every check.

Non-School Employees: Please contact your payroll office to set up automatic deposits to your credit union accounts.
Transactions by Mail
We'll supply you with pre-addressed, postage-paid envelopes to send in your deposits and loan payments.
Transactions by Phone
School Employees Credit Union never charges you to talk with a Financial Management Representative. Call 1-888-628-4010 in the United States and Canada weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pacific time.
Automated Transfers
We offer a variety of no-hassle ways for you to transfer money between your accounts at School Employees Credit Union and with other financial institutions nationwide:
Automatic Transfers (that we set up for you) between your credit union accounts. Automated Transfers may be activated by a date (e.g., 1st and 15th day of the month) or an event (receipt of your direct deposit payroll check).
Scheduled Transfers (that you set up yourself using our online banking system) between your credit union accounts.
Direct Transfers (that we set up for you) between your credit union account and another financial institution (maximum of four transfers per month on the 5th, 10th, 20th, and 25th only).
External Transfers (that you set up yourself using our online banking system) between your credit union account and another financial institution.
Notary Service
Our Notary Publics are available to notarize certain documents for our members. However, we're limited in the kinds of documents we can notarize. Please call to verify if we're able to notarize your documents.
Signature Guarantees
We can provide a Signature Guarantee stamp for certain documents involving funds less than $100,000. No fee.
Traveler's Checks
American Express traveler's checks are available at no charge. Two-signature checks are $ .50 each, per $100 of face value.
Foreign Currency
We can special-order currencies from many countries. Please call for details.
Cashier's Checks
Your first cashier's check is free. Each additional check is $2.
Verification of Deposits
Mortgage lenders and others may need to verify how long funds have been in your School Employees Credit Union accounts. We provide this service at no charge.
Immigration Letters
Available for $10 each. Please allow several business days for processing.
